LINDA GLASS

Executive Coach

Talent Strategist

Since my beginning in marketing for professional theatre, I’ve always been fascinated and intrigued by human behavior and the power of stories. It’s no surprise that from there I joined a then 1400-store Starbucks to help them build and connect with people across the globe. 16,000 stores later… those experiences launched me into a career of executive coaching. Coaching became the perfect expression of my commitment to supporting people’s greatest, most audacious dreams.

I love working with people who have a deep appreciation for growth and know that it takes vulnerability, willingness to be challenged, and a good sense of humor. Together we drive towards the ideal vision knowing that imperfection is a guarantee. Every time I step into a coaching engagement, I feel honored to be part of the journey.

I bring in-depth business and leadership experience to every professional coaching engagement. I know that listening and discovering is critical, but means nothing unless you have the right motivation and meaningful plan of action.

EXECUTIVE COACHING EXPERIENCE

  • Glass Talent was launched in April of 2008 and since then, I have coached over 300 executives from Chicago to London to Atyrau.

  • I chose to be certified in ROI Coaching by Steinbrecher & Associates - because Susan really mastered the blend of art and science, ensuring that the process could be measured for every single client.

  • I have been an investor and served as a mentor on talent and leadership for the SKU, a Consumer Product incubator. It was awesome.

  • I was selected as an adjunct coach for Center for Creative Leadership and as a coach for the Austin Chamber of Commerce CEO Peer Advisory Group.

  • While not currently certified, I was honored to part of the first cohort certified in Brené Brown’s highly respected and accessible research Dare to Lead™ in 2019.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

  • I started at Starbucks in marketing when they had 1400 stores. Every position I held was to start up something new: In House Design Function, UK Market Launch, Talent Function. We were scaling for growth, quickly, and in uncharted territory which required creativity and grit.

  • In 2016 I went in house with one of my clients, Nordstrom, to help them create an overarching strategy while re-imagining talent as they went through massive transformation. It was the most amazing re-certification and renewed appreciation for what it means to be an executive today.

  • Prior to Starbucks, I held a career in public relations and marketing, leading the strategy for the Seattle Repertory Theatre and the Indiana Repertory Theatre.

  • I have a degree in Economics from DePauw University with a side order of Fine Arts. Thus explains my brain.

SIDEBAR

personal stuff

  • My humor, gumption and compassion is all from my mother Alice.

  • Walks remind me to slow down.

  • Fresh flowers from the back yard make me smile.

  • Baking is my therapy. Pie in particular.

  • Family is everything. I have two teenage boys and one mid-life husband.

  • Painting keeps me humble.
